About Tina

I love shooting events and am passionate about it. My background in photojournalism allows me to navigate high-pressure environments with an unobtrusive, intuitive eye. Whether I’m documenting a keynote or capturing a celebration at an awards banquet, my goal is to provide more than just event coverage-I deliver a sophisticated library of content ready for marketing, PR, and brand growth.

I am also a portrait photographer that loves working with clients to make fantastic pictures. I create portraits of subjects that bring out what makes them unique and is a testament to what they do. This involves getting to know my subject and shooting them in their environment or creating an environment that communicates to the viewer what they do and who they are. I carry out this process whether I do a simple headshot, or a more extensive photo shoot. I believe a photo shoot is a collaboration between me and the client. They are able to view the images during the shooting process and we don't wrap up the shoot until I am certain they are satisfied with the images we shot. I would HATE to be that photographer who took a bad picture of you, so  I make sure you don't leave the photo session until you are happy with the images!

I lived in Asia for ten years working as a travel photographer and photojournalist. After moving back to the United States, I lived in New York working as an editorial photographer. I am now based in Nashville but I love leaving town every once in a while for photo assignments!

In addition to being a professional photographer, I am also a digital artist working with imaging and video. I teach photography at the college level, and also conduct travel photography seminars in different countries. Read about the first one I did here.

When I’m not shooting, I’m DJing, riding my bike, cooking, or trying to find the nearest beach.
