Bloomberg Philanthropies hosted a convening in Nashville, TN for their K-12 education partners from across the country. At the convening, they shared best practices, networked with likeminded individuals, and discussed strategies to improve public education. The two days of the event allowed attendees to participate in panel discussions and breakouts at The Joseph which enabled them to develop strong and valuable connections that they will undoubtedly use long after leaving Nashville. Alongside other prominent speakers, Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell spoke about the importance of public education at the convening.
In addition to all the valuable education that the attendees received, there was also ample opportunity for them to have fun and enjoy Nashville. The second days of the convening took place at the iconic Grand Ole Opry where everyone was able to socialize, have great food, listen to music, and even try their hand at squaredancing.
